Here are some of my yellow double aquilegias, I am disappointed if I don't get at least 20% of the offspring as yellow doubles, plus some very good other sorts. Sunshine or shooting stars?

Results for 'Sunshine': all came true, but many (a third perhaps) died during the winter before flowering in the conditions normal outside here in Swansea. Thompson & Morgan certainly have a winner here. It was surprisingly shorter than I expected, many of mine are very tall, nearer 4' than 3'.

Results for 'Devon Sunshine' were much more varied. Like myself, Ray Brown of Plant World has an open, mixed garden and busy,  buzzy bumbles cross-pollinating as they gather the nectar. I got one that's close to true (or true), even having some scent; two others fairly close and other interesting ones like this long-bladed variable, Barlowy, white....love it!
